A Veolia customer, a plant in France, recently installed the biggest model in the Horizontal range, 1000 ATH, a 100 ton baler, to deal with vast volumes of cardboard and plastic.
The baler comes with many feed options, such as forklift, bin lifter and crane. The material is then loaded into the machine on a conveyor belt. The baler effectively reduces the volume and rapidly compacts the packaging material into 500 kg bales.
The customer comments the investment: “Till now, we used to have compactors to compact waste with an additional stamper, but the compaction was not as powerful. With this baler, we have the ambition to recover up to 2000 tons of cardboard and plastic per year.”
