At a festive gathering for the staff, we officially cut the ribbon and celebrated the inauguration of the new extension to the Orwak factory at the headquarters in Sävsjö, Sweden.
900 m2 additional floor space increases the production capacity in the metal workshop, where the bale chambers are manufactured. The extension houses a big brand-new fiber laser cutting machine, which has an impressive steel metal storage and is almost three times as fast as the unit it will replace.
Bending machinery will be moved into the new part of the factory. The extra space improves the overall layout in the metal workshop, promotes effective production and above all, it is an important investment for the future to meet growing demand and achieve our strategic plans.
Bengt Staude, Managing Director at Orwak comments: “We are happy that our owners believe in us and let us make these investments for a continued growth of Orwak products.”
Dag Börjesson, Orwak’s Purchasing Director and Project Manager of the entire building project and the laser machine investment is very satisfied with the speed of the project and that it was successfully completed according to plan despite tight time limits: “The first sods were turned on the new extension in September 2021 and it was a challenge from the start to finish the whole project in only 6 months, but we managed it and crossed the finishing line just in time.”
Dag Börjesson, Purchasing Director & Project Manager and Anna Wright, Production Director, proudly cut the ribbon and declare the new extension inaugurated.
The lofty new building with generous light input from the large windows provides a modern, inspiring working environment and the official inauguration was greeted with applause from the staff. They could all admire the extension to the factory and have a good time together while enjoying lunch in the new premises.
