Our teammate Victor Lindgren continues his magnificent success story in air rifle. At the recent European Championships in Yerevan, Armenia, in the beginning of March, Victor took double silver in the 10 m air rifle – the first individually and the other in the team competition, where the team even set a new Swedish record.

In the individual competition, Victor advanced to the final as planned after scoring 633.7 points in the qualifiers and in the finals, he positioned himself early in the top battle. The competition for the medal spots was fierce and at the end Victor secured the silver medal.

Furthermore, Victor won the second silver medal in the Swedish men’s team with Erik Sahlin and Marcus Madsen. Together, these young sportsmen shot 1893.9 points – which is a new Swedish record for men in a team context in 10 m air rifle.

It was a good day, but every shot demanded an enormous effort and I am tired now, but it’s great to get a team medal with these guys. We’ve said so many times that we have great potential to win a team medal and now it finally came true, so it is a tremendous sense of relief”, Victor commented after the award ceremony.

Victor also won bronze in the mixed class together with Amanda Karlsson.

Congratulations, Victor, on your latest great achievements and on the new medals in the collection!
