Enviropac, Orwak’s sister company and representative in Norway, is an experienced consultant and leading supplier of machines, containers and equipment for waste separation and compaction at source. Being a “one-stop-shop” with a wide variety of equipment presents many opportunities to supply waste solutions in big and complex projects. A few recent examples:

Construction City

Enviropac delivered waste technology equipment to Construction City, an impressive new large-scale industry cluster designed to bring together players from the Norwegian building, construction, and real estate sectors in one location at “Ulven”, a part of Oslo. It serves as a central hub for Norway’s largest onshore industry.

With its 103,000 sqm, this is one of the largest construction projects in Oslo in recent years, and Enviropac contributed with solutions that work in everyday life and that the operations department is very satisfied with.

In the project, EnviroPac has designed two waste rooms, adapted for a high degree of sorting. The delivery included among other equipment a waste compactor for residual waste but also two units of Orwak Power 3820; powerful balers with extra wide loading gate for paper and cardboard.

The equipment in the new waste rooms is in daily use and ensures smooth handling of cardboard and residual waste for the 4,000 users in the building.

Thon Hotel Panorama

When Thon Hotel Panorama, centrally located in the heart of Oslo and earning its name from the stunning panoramic view from the rooftop terrace, reopened after an extensive renovation, EnviroPac supplied the technical equipment for the waste room. The hotel welcomes around 130 guests daily and this solution keeps the waste streams at bay.

One of the machines is the Orwak multi-chamber baler 5070 that compacts the bagged residual cleaning and restaurant waste in 400-liter bins. It is simple to use, reliable and requires little maintenance.

Brødrene Dahl Langhus

Brødrene Dahl Langhus is the central distribution center for Brødrene Dahl in Norway, located in Langhus, south of Oslo. This facility acts as the hub for Brødrene Dahl’s entire logistics in Norway, serving the country’s market with products ranging from bathroom furniture to thermal installation products. The center is a technologically advanced facility that has been expanded and equipped with automated systems, including high-bay warehouse storage and picking solutions.

In line with this, the waste handling system must also be automated. Large amounts of cardboard from empty packaging material are generated here and Enviropac recommended and delivered the Brickman briquette press model 300.

It is installed directly along the packaging line at the source of waste. The press can be fed continuously, compacts and cuts the waste into highly compacted briquettes that do not require any binding. The briquettes are automatically pushed out of the chute and drop down into a container, and the recycling company Norsk Gjenvinning later takes care of the briquettes for further processing.

Brickman saves time and makes waste handling easier. The entire system is easy to integrate into system solutions. The sound emission is minimal, which is beneficial for installations in the indoor environment close to workstations.

New balers and briquette presses contribute to a simpler everyday life.
